Johnny’s passion to serve the community began with his business connections. He helped organize trade missions to China and Hong Kong in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2017 to explore and create business opportunities. Representatives of the trade missions included mayors and councillors of different GTA and other surrounding municipalities.

Embrace the future

Other than business communities, Johnny is also contributing to the new immigrants settlement services. He was a member of the board of the S.E.A.S. Centre (Support Enhance Access Service Centre) for many years. S.E.A.S. Centre is a multi-services not-for-profit organization that render support to all people in need, regardless of their ethnicity, nationality, gender, race, religion, age or sexual orientation. Their focused community groups are Chinese, Vietnamese, and Filipino.

As a long-term resident of Richmond Hill, Johnny sees that it’s time for him to serve Richmond Hill now. He believes that Richmond Hill deserves better. He wants to see a vibrant and beautiful Richmond Hill that becomes jealous of GTA.
